Funeral services for Mrs. Laura C. Hickman, sixty-seven, who died at her home on Ashford, route one, Saturday night after a short illness, were held yesterday afternoon at Bethlehem Church with the Rev, Roby J. Lee officiating. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Church cemetery with Ward-Wilson in charge.

She was a member of the Cowarts Baptist Church and had lived in that community almost all her life.

Surviving are her husband, William A. Hickman; five sons, Bob and Wesley Hickman, both of Headland, route three, Jack Hickman, Ashford, Dewey Hickkman, U. S. Army, Holland; six daughters, Mrs. Iris Baker, Headland, route three, Mrs. Inez Messer and Mrs. Jack Windsor, both of Ashford route one, Mrs. Kate Douglas, Pansey, route one, Mrs. Alice Parker, Headland and Mrs. Malissa Bell, Ashford, route two; a brother, Ocie Parker, Headland; four sisters, Mrs. Phronie Robertson and Mrs. Cannie Lock, both of Ashford, route one, Mrs. Callie Gentry, Graceville, route one and Mrs. Allie Gentry, Cottonwood, route one; 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Milton Paramore, Burt Thompson, R. V. Johnson, Tommie Daniels, C. E. Trawick, and Grady Parish. Honary pallbearers were Mrs. C. E. Trawick, Mrs. Tommie Daniels, Mrs. Milton Paramore, Mrs. Burt Thompson, Mrs. Otis Mendheim and Mrs. Elma Paramore.
