Elmer L. Albus
Rock Falls - Elmer L. Albus, 80, 618 Fourth Ave., died Friday in Sterling Community General Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1888, in Amboy, the son of Henry and Ida Balla Albus. He farmed in the Amboy area a number of years.
Albus was married to Ella Christensen Jan. 8, 1926, in Oregon.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Ernie Christensen, Walnut; Mrs. Iva Krieger, Ohio; four sons, Elmer Albus Jr. and Virden Albus, both of Rock Falls; Norval McGonigle, Hutchinson, Kan.; Glen McGonigle, Lawrence, Kan.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Virden Albus, Mrs. Edward (Edna) Olds, both of Rock Falls; Mrs. Paul (Edith) Gowan, Morrison; a half-brother, Roland Reed, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. H. C. Hatton, pastor of the First Nazarene Church of Sterling, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral homw from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
