Mary, 95, of Alma and formerly of Waterford passed away Thursday, at Masonic Pathways in Alma.

The family has chosen cremation and Mary's ashes will be interred next to her husband.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Heartland Hospice of Mt. Pleasant and Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.

Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph and LaSella (Frye) Stricklen. She married Coy Ingram in 1948, in Pontiac. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and, in her earlier years, belonged to a bingo club in Waterford.

But her favorite was having her grandsons, Jamey and Jeremy, spend Saturday nights with grandpa and grandma and then help make breakfast on Sunday mornings.

Mary survived by two children, Barbara (Jim) Payne of West Branch and Eddie Joe (Janet) Smith of Waterford; three grandchildren, James (Sunshine) Payne of Brazil, Jeremy (Danielle) Payne of Shepherd and Paula (Don) Cook of Roseville; six great-grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend and child she raised, Leah Ann Clark of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her huband, Coy Ingram; infant son, Henry; and several brothers and sisters.
