Dolores M. "Bunky" (Walsh) Albrecht, 75, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Monday, Oct. 24, at her home.

Bunky passed away at home, surrounded by her family.

Bunky was born Aug. 27, 1936, in Great Falls, to Jim and Rose Walsh. She attended St. Mary's School, and graduated from Great Falls Central Catholic High School. Upon graduating, she worked for Great Falls Paper Co. and the Montana Air National Guard.

She married Ken Albrecht on Dec. 29, 1956. They moved to Missoula, where Ken finished college at the University of Montana, and she worked to help him finish school. After graduation, they moved back to Great Falls, where they started a family. In 1968, she and her husband started their own business, Wholesale Flooring, and she worked in the business while raising four children.

Bunky was very active in junior tennis throughout the Intermountain Section, and was president of the Montana Tennis Association for three years. She also was involved with the United Electric City Corvette Club, at one time serving as its president. She was a devoted mother to her children, and was active throughout their grade school, high school and college years. She enjoyed attending Corvette conventions, professional tennis tournaments and Griz football games, and spending time with her brothers and sisters. She also enjoyed taking ocean cruises, trips to Hawaii, and wintering in Arizona and Palm Springs, Calif.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years; her two children; four siblings; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bunky was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristen; and a son, Timothy.
