Evelyn Mae Chilcote, 75, of Waterfall Road, Hustontown, died at 6:20 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Wanda Chilcote of Hustontown.

Born July 3, 1929, in Waterfall, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Vera (Black) Strait. She was united in marriage to Willis Leroy Chilcote who preceded her in death June 25, 1993.

She is survived by three sons: William G. Chilcote of Hustontown, Twerry W. Chilcote of Estero, Fla., and Rickly L. Chilcote of Hustontown. There are eight grandchildren: Dawne, Shane, Shawn, Dusky, Shannon, Ryan, Michael and Leslie; and five great-grandchildren: Dana, Brett, Brooklyn, Dylan and Jackson.

One brother, Perry Strait of McConnellsburg, and one sister, Jane Carmack of Hustontown, survive.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Robert, Carl and Guy, and one sister, Louise Hoffman.

Mrs. Chilcote was a member of My Father's House Ministries, McConnellsburg.

She had worked as a beautician and as a licensed practical nurse.

Mrs. Chilcote was active in both church and community. She was always there with a helping hand and caring heart.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 30, at My Father's House Ministries, Great Cove Road, McConnellsburg, with Pastor Bill Chilcote and Pastor Scott Houck officiating. Interment will be made in Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown.

Friends may call at My Father's House Ministries from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Chilcote may be made to My Father's House Ministries, P.O. Box 269, McConnellsburg, PA 17223 or Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are under the direction of the M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown.
