DEATH OF E. B. ATTERBERRY
Elijah Bluford Atterberry was born on a farm in Monroe county, Missouri, about seven miles northeast of Madison, December 12, 1845, and died December 3, 1922, being nearly 68 years old.
He was married to Sarah Frances Weatherford, February 19, 1878.
To this union were born four children, Alpha; Carl, who died in infancy; Mrs. Alvah E. Key and Mrs. Elsie M. Baldwin, both living near his home, and Ira Glenn, recently of Clifton, Hill, Mo., but who about a week ago moved to be with his father and mother thru the winter.
He united with the Oak Grove Baptist church in 1891, and remained a member of that church until the building of the Fair View Baptist church in 1898, when he moved his membership to that pace, becoming one of the charter members and remained there until the date of his death; serving as deacon for the last 18 years. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, three children, with their companions; eight grand children, three sisters, Mrs. Rebecca M. Jones of Boulder, Col.; Mrs. Mattie C. Orr of Ft Collins, Colo.; and Mrs. Lou Dickson of near Maud, and many other relatives and friends.

Elijah Atterbury, one of the well known and highly respected citizens of the Granville vicinity passed away at his home Sunday morning. He was 68 years of age.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Baldwin, Mrs. Perry Key, and one son, Rev. Glenn Atterbury, of Clifton Hill.

The funeral services were held from the Fairview church, on Tuesday, conducted by Rev. R.A. Jones and Rev. Colborn and interment made in the Shelbina Cemetery. Madison Times.
