Mrs Charles E. (Carol M.) Bruck, 55, of 301 W. Sumner, whose husband was a native of Ottawa, died Thursday afternoon in St. Mary’s Hospital, where she had been a patient the past month. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Elias Funeral Home with interment in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday until time of the service. A lifelong resident of Streator she was born Dec. 25, 1916 to Robert and Lucy Gates Padgett. Her marriage to Mr. Bruck took place July 13, 1941 in Streator. She was employed at Owens-Illinois Inc. for 20 years and was a member of the First Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Suzanne) Sterner and a son, Edward R. Bruck, both of Streator. Other survivors are four gransons, a sister, Mrs Robert (Verna) Swain of Streator and a brother Robert Padgett of Ft. Meyers, Fla. Her parents and a step-father Paul Gillette preceded her in death.
