The father of Colusa's well-known and respected citizens Anderson Dabney Logan and Hugh Alexander Logan. Henry died on the train near Carlin NV, on the 8th of September 1873. He was seventy-six years of age and was coming from Montgomery City, Missouri, to visit his sons. A few days before his death he fell off the train and received some injuries which are supposed to have been the cause of his death. According to the local newspapers, the body was taken to Marysville and was embalmed by E. Hamilton, placed in a metallic coffin, then laid to rest in the Marysville Cemetery.
