I have learned a few things about my Great Grand Uncle Fred by talking to some of his Great Grandchildren, here is what they have told me: Fred liked to fish, he would walk long distances to several different lakes in Marquette County Wisconsin, he would take his grandchildren along with him sometimes. Fred was a stone mason, and made the foundations for many barns in the Marquette County area. I have reason to believe that Fred was also a good carpenter because his brother Carl (my Great Grandfather) was a very good carpenter as well, and also because Fred's death certificate specifies that he was a carpenter.
