Robert A. McConnell, 80-years old
former Okmulgee resdent, died early
Tuesday evening in Pawhuska, Ok.
Mr. McConnell was born on April 14,1912
in Okmulgee to John Robert and Netta
Ashley.
He was retired from the Sun Oil Co.
as a pumper and was a veteran of World
War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. McConnell was a member of the
St. Anthony Catholic Church in Okmulgee
and was a life member of the V.F.W. in
Morris and the American Legion Post #189
in Pawhuska.
He was preceded in death by his wife,
Dorothy McConnell, in Nov. 1987.
Survivors include one Son, Robert Dean
McConnell ; Two Daughters,
Delored Jean Joyner and Mary Oliver, one brother,
L.A. McConnell of Portland, Tex;
one sister, Grace Thomason of Pryor,
Okla.
Bural will be in the Morris Cemetery
