Passed away Thursday evening, Aug 30, 2007 at his home. Ted was born January 23, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Dr. Firmin and Mary (Kimball) Cross. He was a graduate of Bentley High School, Livonia, and graduated with honors from the General Motors Institute, Flint, (now Kettering University). He was a journeyman tool and die maker in Detroit until 1961 and a mechanical engineer for many companies throughout Michigan. He was a Junior Achievement Leader, Boy Scout Leader, and was a member of the Manufacturing Engineer Association and a member of the Lake Manitou Board of Directors. His hobbies were crossword puzzles, reading, computer design, fishing, hunting, cooking and computer photography. On June 18, 1960 in Livonia, Michigan, Ted was united in marriage to the former Marylou White who survives. Also surviving are a daughter Jacqueline (Robert) Mitchell of Grand Junction; sister Cathrine (Jim) Huff of Traverse City, Michigan, brother Paul "Pete" Cross of Drummond Island, Michigan, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Erik Stirling Cross.
