Virgil is survived by three sons: Chad (Monya) Weiss of Grand Rapids, MI, Matthew (Melinda) Weiss of Wyoming, MI, and Kevin (Amanda) Weiss of Ann Arbor, MI; three grandchildren: Caleb, Sara and Mailey Weiss; his step-mother Doris Weiss of Bay City; four brothers: Dale (Marijke) Weiss of Veghel, Netherlands, Wayne Weiss of Saginaw, MI, Jared (Marlyn) Weiss of Clinton Township, MI, Clyde (Patricia) Weiss of Lake Oswego, OR; one sister Jane (Steven) Stieglitz of Harlan, IN, also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith. Rev. Stephen P. Starke will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Virgil's family will receive friends at the Auburn Chapel of Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc. on Wednesday morning Virgil will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the City Rescue Mission of Saginaw.
