He went to I T Stoddard Elementary, and Blackfoot High School, as well as Sho-Ban School.

He worked at Sho-Ban Gaming, Major Casinos, and Western Gaming as a chief technician.

He married Cheri Faye Rodriguez in September 1991. He has a son Talon Lee.

He is survived by his wife Cheri Faye, and his son Talon Lee, as well as his Mom and step Dad Adeline and Robert Burns Sr. and his siblings Edison Darrell Dixey, Eldon Kelly McConnell both of Fort Hall, Huston Dusty McConnell of Colorado, Frank Allen McConnell of California, Gwenevier (Glenn) Fisher, Angela (Cliff) Buckskin, Anna Wray, Arletta Buckskin all of Fort Hall, Id.
Paulette (Jordan) Caskey of Nampa, Id., Audrey of Salt Lake City, Ut.,and Candice R. Boone of California, as well as several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Quentin and two brothers Max and Everett McConnell.
