Mrs. Mary Ann Cody 94, resident of Ottumwa for 77 years; died Sunday at 11:20 a.m. at the home of her daughter Mrs. Josie Higbee of Bloomfield.

Mrs. Cody was born May 25 1845 in Cincinatti, Ohio coming here at the age of 17.She was married to Joseph B. Cody Oct. 1867 at St. Mary's Catholic church. Mrs. Cody lived here until the last few years, during which time she made her home in Bloomfield.

Surviving are seven daughters; Mrs. Higbee of Bloomfield, Mrs. Irene Welty, Mrs. Regina Hindley of De Land, Florida, Mrs. Mayme Tracy of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Eve Kettleman of Boulder, Colo., Mrs. Anna Stoessel, and Mrs. Hazel Harness of Ottumwa; a son W. A. Cody of Pueblo, Colo., 3 grandchildren; 36 great~grandchildren, and two great~great~grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1899; by a daughter Mrs. Ida Lutz, and by a son Edward J. Cody.

The body is at the Vaughn funeral chapel. The family requests no flowers for services, the time of which will be announced later.
