MRS.MYRTLE MYERS CALLED
Mrs. Myrtle Myers succumbed to a protracted illness of three years at her home in Florence, Colorado. The end came at 1:40 Friday morning, November 9th. Friday and relatives in Seneca and Nemaha county regret to learn of her death which resulted from a throat ailment with which she was afflicted when she last visited Seneca when she accompanied the body of her mother, Mrs. J. H. H. Ford here for burial.

Myrtle May Ford, daughter of J. H. H. and Mary Ford was born in Seneca on April 17, 1871. She died at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 23 days. The greater part of her life was spent in Seneca, the past 15 years she was a resident of Florence. She was married on November 26, 1891 to Dan E. Myers of Seneca. He passed away several years ago. One daughter was born to this union. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Presbyterian church, of the Eastern Star chapter No. 25, Florence and Hope Camp Royal Neighbors of Green River, Wyoming.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Sharpe, wife of Tennyson Sharpe of Montpelier, Idaho; by a sister, Mrs. Maude Wetmore, Tacoma, Washington; two brother, Ed Ford of Eugene, Oregon and Lloyd Ford of Detroit, Michigan; and two grandchildren. An impressive funeral service was held Sunday, November 11, from her residence. Rev. J. T. Brainbridge of the Methodist Church, brought comforting message to a number of close friends and relatives. Mrs. Howard Lloyd and Mrs. J. F. Wright sang, "Good Night," "Dear to the Heart of God" and "Abide With Me." The flower bearers were Mrs. Marie Moore, Mrs. Ed Jack, Mrs. Floyd Huiatt and Mrs. Ora Orendorf of Penrose, all past matrons of O. E. S. No. 25. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The pallbearers were Floyd Huiatt, Homer Rodman, Henry Ives, George Smee and Dr. F. A. Davis, all members of O. E. S. No. 25. Burial was in Union Highland cemetery at Florence. Mrs. Myers was ill all summer and bedfast for six weeks. During her illness she had the loving care of her daughter, Mrs. Tennyson Sharpe and Mrs. Ben Krenning. She expressed the wish to be buried near her home in Florence.
