Mr. Aaron Richard Bennett, 82, died Monday (5-1-2000)in Satilla Regional Medical Center following a lenghty illness. A native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He was married to the late Viroue Turner Bennett and was son of the late Russell Bennett and Etta Jordan Bennett.
A retired farmer and bus driver with the Ware County Board of Education driving in the Dixie Union Pincrest School area. A member of the AARP, Woodmen of World for 50 years and the Haywood Baptist Church.
Survivors include 1 Daughter: Harriett Bennett Bagley and husband Dewey of Waycross, 3 Sons: Arnold R. Bennett and wife Virue of Dixie Union, Ansley L. Bennett and wife Linda of Alma, GA, Alex W. Bennett of Dixie Union, 3 Grandsons: Ricky Bennett and wife Becky of Allen Dale, SC, Archy Bennett and wife Selina of Dixie Union, Andy Bennett and wife Tonya of Alma, GA, 5 Great Grandchildren: Keri Bennett, Rebecca Bennett, Christi Bennett, Chad Bennett and Hunter Bennett, 2 Sisters: Lois Massey and Bernie Cummings both of Waycross, 1 Brother: James C. Bennett of Dixie Union Haywood.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday (5-4-2000) in the Chapel of Music Funeral Home. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 7-9 pm.
