Robert M. Mattern, 79, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 at his Lancaster home. Born in Lancaster and raised in Cabbage Hill area, he was the son of the late Richard and Henrietta (Black) Mattern. Robert was the loving husband to Katherine (Harbold) Mattern.
He graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School. He worked as a salesman for many years at Shearer Industrial Supply Company. Robert enjoyed playing golf and collected stamps and coins.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by a son, Marty Mattern of Lancaster.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 with Pastor Dana Statler officiating.
