Obituary from unnamed newspaper:

Sad Death of Miss Louise Birk

A telegram came to Mr. Peter Birk last Friday afternoon from Dillon Colorado, stating that his daughter, Louise, who had arrived there at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Anne Job, Thursday, passed away the next morning about nine o'clock.

This came as a shock to the community as it wasn't generally known that she was in such failing health altho' she had been a sufferer from tuberculosis for several years and had only recently returned from a two months' visit with her sister, Mrs. George Laumann, in St. Louis.

Her sudden death was the result of the too high altitude at Dillon.

Upon receipt of the sad news her brother, Fred, left for Dillon, arriving there Monday. The remains were brought here for burial, Thursday morning.

The service was conducted by Rev. F.C. Kattner at the First M.E. church yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Her education was obtained in the Canton public schools. She was an active worker in the First M.E. Sunday school and a member of the church choir.

A much loved woman and whose character and habits were far above reproach, has passed out of this life into the Great Beyond.
