Eileen Barker, 75, of Bible Grove, MO, died December 10, 2000, in the ER of the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.
She was born October 13, 1925, at Greensburg, MO, to Simeon E. and Alpha Louise Roberts Stone.
She was raised in the Greensburg area and was a graduate of the Bible Grove High School Class of 1943.
She married Dale Barker on June 15, 1944 at San Diego, CA.
She was a member of the Bible Grove Christian Church. She was a member of the Business and Professional Association and was an officer. She helped organize the Scotland County Courthouse Avenue of Flags. She was a floral designer the past 40 years and the past ten years was employed by The Flower Garden in Memphis, MO.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Beverly Kay Epperson and husband, Kenneth of Milton, IA; a son, Stanley D. Barker and wife, Nancy of Canyon City, CO. Also surviving are one sister, Kathryn Davis of Bible Grove, MO; a brother, Darrel J. Stone of Macon, MO; four grandchildren, Aimee Barker, Stacey Young, Kelby and Macy Epperson; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley and Austin Young; and two step-great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Laura Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Harold R. Stone.
Visitation will open Wednesday, December 13, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, MO.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2000, at 1:30 p.m. in the Memphis Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Smith, pastor of the Downing Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Dean and Stanley Frederick, Brent Bondurant, Elton Emel, Hillis McClamroch, and Aaron Dannenhauer. Honorary casket bearers will be Kelby and Macy Epperson, Steve Young and Tony Sullivan. Memorials may be made to the Bible Grove Christian Church or the Scotland County Courthouse Avenue of Flags.
