Charles H. Anthony departed this life on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the VA Veterans Hospital of Salem. He was born March 5, 1927 to the late Robert and Lillian Anthony. He is preceded in death by a sister, Arsene Anthony Morris and a brother, Robert Norris Anthony Jr. Charles is survived by his wife Alvalaz Anthony; two devoted daughters, Lisa Anthony Bond and Evelyn Miller Anthony; two devoted sons Robert Miller and Norman Miller. He is also survived by two other children Regina and Charles, Jr.; seventeen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Community Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mary O. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. Military Rites provided by US Army Ft. Lee. The family is receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Community Funeral Home and other times at 253 Riverview Rd., Madison Heights.
