Sack went to Hollywood in 1940 after serving as music director for Olsen and Johnson. He was also the chief arranged and associate conductor Paul Whiteman's orchestra. He later became the Coast music director for ABC and directed music for the television shows "Maisie," "Beulah" and "The Tony Martin Show." He also directed "Take it or Leave It" with Dinah Shore and Frances Langford and produced his own album, "Velvet Moods." Sack died from cancer.
