Edward D. Hoag, 77, of 1223 E. Main St., died shortly after arrival at St. Mary's Hospital at 8:24 p.m. Monday.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born December 12, 1909 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, a son of Charles and Emma Mary (Chapple) Hoag. He married Etta M. Webb on September 25, 1941 in Streator. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter: Shari Hoag of Davenport, Iowa; three sisters: Dorothy Palluconi of Iron Mountain, Ardis (Walter) Geske of Wausau, Wisconsin, and Gwen (John) Boccio of Belmont, California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Connie Sue; two brothers; and one sister.

A Streator resident since 1932, he retired from Anthony Company in 1977.
