Son of late Samuel Houston Sam Stone and Martha Jane Minnie Rogers Stone Hamby of Gravel Ridge Community, Nacogdoches, Texas. When his dad died his mom married his uncle William Harvey Hamby they lived in Douglass, Texas on the Hamby Homestead. The Stone children:
