Mrs. Mack was born to the union of Mosley Leonard Behn and Juanita Lewis Behn in Clarksville, Texas on September 8, 1930. She obtained her education from a school in her local hometown of Clarksville. In 1945, Arneta married James Henry Mack, Sr. To this union 17 children were born of which are two sets of twins. To better her life, Mrs. Mack relocated with her family to Fresno, California where her dreams for her children's upward mobility were possible. In 1972, Mrs. Mack accomplished the purchase of her new home at 235 San Joaquin where memories were made.

She received her early spiritual experience at Fellowship Baptist Church under the faithful leadership of the late Rev. Eddie Daniels and the late Pastor Chester Riggins. Mrs. Arneta Mack was not afraid of hard work, she worked at the Seabrook Cannery in Selma, California, as an assembly line worker. In addition, her employment history included a variety of domestic jobs as well as farm labor. She instilled in her children to obtain their goals and not be afraid of hard work. She provided care to those that needed her services beyond her immediate family. Mrs. Arneta's teaching of positive family values and her encouragements to her children enabled them to obtain better life and meet their goals of higher education. She provided love, and a positive strong foundation that kept her family together. Her spiritual values sustained her family during difficult times. She had a great sense of humor and the art of making a fancy meal out of staple foods.

When you think of Madea who is one of her favorite characters in Tyler Perry's movies, Mrs. Mack was the Real Madea. Mrs. Arneta Mack was also known as Lupsy, Odea, and Troubles. Mrs. Mack loved to laugh and loved music, among her favorites was Al Green, Marvin Gay, Sam Cooke, BeBe and CeCe Winans and B.B. King.
