Ruth H. Ives Belson
Ruth passed away at her home on October 22, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 15, 1932 in Findley Lake, N.Y. to the late Arthur and Sara Ives.
During her lifetime, she resided in Ripley, N.Y., Fort Myers and Tampa, Fla., before returning to Ripley, N.Y.
She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Ripley. Ruth loved gong to Church and volunteering at the Noah's Ark clothing store within the Church.
She worked in Market Research in the employment of Gulf Coast Research Suburban Associates and also independently. Ruth also worked for the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Belson, of Ripley, N.Y., her brother Mark (Bea) Ives of North East, Pa., her grandchildren, Jennifer Belson of Ripley, N.Y., Jeff (Jackie) Belson and great grandson Tyler, of Tampa, Fla.
Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Harry, and daughter Connie; four brothers, Howard Ives, Morris, Harris and Byron Rouse, and one sister Hazel.
Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Ripley, N.Y. on Friday, November 4, 2011. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service. The viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the church.
Ruth will be interred privately at the East Ripley Cemetery with her family in attendance.
