Jack Sheffield, 68, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 in an Abilene Hospital.
Funeral service with Johnny Sheffield officiating was Monday, Oct. 17, in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.
Interment followed in the Concho Cemetery at Paint Creek.
Arrangements were under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Jack Richard Sheffield was born on Sept. 9, 1943 in Paint Rock, to Elmer Sheffield and Lucille Herridge Sheffield. He married Linda Stoker in February of 1999 in Breckenridge.
He was the past owner of Diamond Building Systems and was a local contractor.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sheffield of Breckenridge; sons: Randy Bordelon of Shreveport, Richard Sheffield of Clyde, and Chad Sheffield of Clyde; sisters: Mozelle Eves and Betty Sue Hirsch both of Abilene and Janice Bailey of Paint Rock; Jamie Sheffield of El Paso and Johnny Sheffield of Merkel; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sherry Lynn Sheffield.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Solaris Hospice and they may be left at the funeral home.
