Cornelia Rebecca Wyatt, 89, passed away Saturday, February 3, 1951 at Douglas Memorial Hospital at the age of 89 years. Cornelia was born Dec. 16, 1861 at Terre Haute, Indiana. She was married to William Clark at Lomax, Illinois. At a later date she was married to Lewis Wyatt who died in 1933. Mrs. Wyatt moved to Douglas in 1919, where she had resided until her death. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter and six sons: Mrs. Lola Lynch of Douglas, Jesse Clark of Motor, Ill., Clarence Clark of Douglas, Kenneth Wyatt of Duke, Mo., Carl, Alva and Emil Wyatt, all of Douglas. Also surviving are 19+ grandchildren, 20+ great grandchildren and numerous 2 & 3 x great grandchildren. Three daughters preceded her in death: Ida May Clark Goodman, Bertha Estella Clark Pearson and Lenna Elizabeth Clark. Cornelia Rebecca Waterman Clark Wyatt was born to Henry Vantile Waterman and Matilda McCash on Dec. 16, 1861 in Terre Haute. Census records say Terre Haute, Henderson, Illinois, which is not far from Honey Creek and Lomax where she grew up and started her family. Her above mentioned obituary says Indiana. I can find no proof that her parents were in Indiana. (Her mother spent her whole life in Henderson County, Illinois.)
In 1877 she married William E Clark (1850-1893) they had 6 children before he passed away;

By the late 1920's Lewis Wyatt had abandon Cornelia and the children & returned to Lomax, Henderson, Illinois.
