Alexander Fife Stephenson (son of Reuben Matthew Stephenson and Eunice Sue Fife) was born Sept. 3, 1891 in Lewis County, Missouri and died Jan. 18, 1971 in Canton, Lewis County, Missouri. He married (1) Mary Ethel Lillard on September 6, 1911. She died February 10, 1920 and he married (2) Alpha Day Overton on June 15, 1921. They lived briefly in California and came back to Lewis County, Missouri about 1925. He was elected sheriff of Lewis County, Missouri in 1933 and held that office for 12 years. He was also a real estate broker.
