Mabel was the daughter of Andreas Edvard Hanssesn Granfor (1846-1920) and Anna Marie Sofia Krogness Ronning Granfor (1870-1955). Mabel was born 2 Jun 1909. Mabel was the youngest of their four children: Mabel's full siblings were: Arthur Melvin Granfor 3 Aug 1898-14 Oct 1961, Bertha Amanda Granfor 18 Sep 1901-15 May 1987 (Elmer Raymond Kier 8 Mar 1888-23 Oct 1984) and Julius Hafnor Granfor 29 Aug 1906-10 Sep 1980 (Viola Lorraine Elseth 6 Dec 1911-21 Jan 2005). Mabel also had two half-sisters from her mother's first marriage to Andrew Ronning. They were: Helga Pauline Ronning 21 May 1892-23 Dec 1918 (Oscar Melvin Norgaard 6 Dec 1897-7 Feb 1955) and Johanna "Jennie" Albertine Ronning 21 May 1892-16 Jul 1980 (Severt O. Mabel was baptized at Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley, MN 25 Jun 1910 and confirmed in 1924 also at Kirkebo. Mabel taught first and second grades at the Perley School for many years.

Stenson officiated at the service. Pallbearers were: Andrew Granfor, Julian Granfor, Bert Borgen, Robert Kroshus, Ralph Sorenson and Harlow Bergland.
Mabel passed away 5 Dec 1999 at Grand Forks, ND. At the time of her death she had two grandchildren.
