His two full siblings were: Ellsworth Lee 21 Sep 1911-8 Sep 1993 and David Elliott 5 Sep 1913-23 Jan 1995. David was adopted by his aunt and uncle, Anna and Joseph Gaare and used the Gaare surname.
Sheldon also had two half-siblings from his mother's marriage to Olaf H. Stafney. They were Robert Russel Stafney 4 Jan 1925-7 Jun 1930 and Glory "Romayne" Stafney 31 Oct 1930–1 Jan 2021 (Lloyd F. Cullen 31 Oct 1922-3 Jan 1980).
Sheldon got his Social Security card in the State of Oregon where he died in February 1953.
