Mary Poe (1921 - 2011)
Mary W. Poe, 90, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011. Memorial service: Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.
Mary was born Feb. 13, 1921, in Abilene. She grew up in Winters, where she met her husband, Sedric. They moved to Arlington in 1965 and were members of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. They had eight children, 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Sedric A. Poe; and daughter, Barbara A. Deal.
Survivors: Children, Roy Poe, John Poe, Mike Poe, Teresa Schultz, Mary Urash, Martha Hurt and Elizabeth Hopkins.
