The Jackson family apparently moved to Tennessee in 1868-1869 as their son Evan was born in Virginia in about 1868, and they were in Tennessee when the 1870 Census was enumerated. Their daughter Martha Jane Jackson Burns was my g-grandmother, and I remember her telling a story about moving to Tennessee in a covered wagon. She said she was a young girl at the time, and the trip took about a month.James M. Jackson and his wife Susan moved to Kansas City, MO in the late 1880's.
