The funeral of George G. (sic) Wells occurred yesterday morning from the residence six miles west of the city. The funeral services were conducted by the minister from Alda and was largely attended. The pall bearers consisted of the following: Messrs. George Loan Jr., A. W. Bucheit, H. E. Clifford, Chris Schwieger, Ben Voigt, and L. E. Upperman. Interment was made in the Grand Island cemetery.

Mr. George Wells submitted to a surgical operation at his home yesterday. It is said by the physician to be successful and the chances favorable for his recovery. Mr. Wells has been a very sick man.
