Born to Battista Carnevale (Father) and Maria Giovanna Caruso (Mother) in Santa Catarina Albanese Prov. Di Cosenza, Italy. He departed Italy from Napoli on board the Celtic and arrived in the United States in 1911. My Grandfather married my Grandmother Josephine Stagno on Oct. 28th, 1923 and became an American citizen on March 4th, 1924. He was the Father of nine children (six lived). My Grandfather retired from Cole Electric Company in Long Island City, New York. He was a very good natured and religious man who was loved by all who knew him. He was a proud Papa who was deeply in love with Josephine, his wife. His motto: Turn the other cheek.
