Paulus Arthur Jacobson was born in Lee Township, Norman County, MN, to I.K. and Bertha M. (Johnson) Jacobson 1 Feb 1901. He was the 5th born of their 13 children.

Paul farmed first in Lee Township and later in 1935 in both Lee and Mary Townships. He served on the Board of Directors of the Farmers' Union Elevator at Perley, as well as the Wild Rice Watershed Board for several years. He also served many years as a Deacon for the Bethania Lutheran Church.

Paul married Esther O. Estenson 25 Oct 1924 at the Perley Parsonage. Witnesses to their marriage were Paul's sister, Hannah Jacobson and Esther's brother, Merrill Estenson. They first lived on a small farm in Lee Township, later moving to the I.K. Jacobson home in Mary Township.

Paul and Esther became the parents of two children: Paul "David" Jerome 5 Sep 1925-28 Nov 1986 (Donna Fay Strommen 11 Feb 1927-17 Jan 2004) and Helen Eloise 4 Jan 1930-7 Apr 2006 (Lawrence Gilmer "Larry" Moseby 12 Sep 1925-3 Aug 2010).

After Paul retired from farming, he and Esther spent several winters in Mesa, Arizona.

Paul passed away 6 May 1973 at Fargo, ND after suffering with a heart condition. Funeral services for him were held at the Bethania Lutheran Church, rural Perley, MN on May 10, 1973.
