HENNESSEY- The funeral for Leland Berkenbile, 64, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Dr. Don Rogers and the Rev. Franklin Piercy will officiate. Burial will follow in Lyon Valley Cemetery under direction of Cordry-Sisson Funeral Home.
He was born December 18, 1932, east of Hennessey to C.O. and Alm Curry Berkenbile and died Saturday, March 8, 1997 at Park View Hospital in El Reno.
On March 5, 1955, he married Glenna Belle Taggart. He was a farmer-rancher and an L.P. Gas Supplier. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hennessey.
Surviving are his wife, Glenna of the home; two sons, Jimmy and Terry, both of Hennessey; three brothers, Delmar of Hunter, Hollis of Hennessey, and Vernon of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Irene States of Enid, Juanita Rogers of Dallas, Texas, and Aleene Self of Hinton, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Cedar Lake Chapel.
