He was baptized 6 Mar 1897 at the Bethania Lutheran Church, rural Perley. Sponsors were: Ole and Ellen Aune and Emma Kjolberg and Ole Kjolberg. He was confirmed at the Bethania Lutheran Church 3 Sep 1911.

William passed away at the age of 22 years 31 Jul 1919. His cause of death was pneumonia. Funeral services for him were held 3 Aug 1919 at the Bethania Lutheran Church.
