Annie Marian Klusman was born 16 Aug 1911 in Pleasant View Township, near Ada, MN. She was the daughter of Henry Klusman (12 Aug 1878-18 May 1935) and his wife, Anna Lampe Klusman (16 Feb 1879-18 Sep 1938).
Annie was the 5th born of their seven children. Her siblings were: Fredrick Henry 1906-25 Dec 1907, Otilla Meta "Tillie" 12 Jul 1907-22 Oct 1934 (Joseph Nelius Ellingson 12 Nov 1906-23 Sep 1981), Wilhelmina A. "Minnie" 10 Jan 1909-6 May 1929 (Stanley C. Ystebo 5 Feb 1912-15 Aug 1963), John Henry 25 Mar 1910-6 May 1929, Fred 20 Sep 1914-18 Jun 1979 (Stella Peterson 16 Mar 1915-2 Aug 2002) and Metta ca 6 Mar 1917-17 Apr 1917.
Annie grew up on her parents' farm in Pleasant View Township. Her father was the township clerk for 30 years and was Chairman of the County Board for 3 years. He was also Clerk of the local school board for 27 years. Her mother made clothing for the entire family and used a spinning wheel which her mother had brought from Germany. The family had knitted socks, caps and sweaters. They also gardened and produced much of their food.

Alfred and Annie lived in Mary Township and raised their family. Their children were/are: Beatrice Arlene 9 Jul 1936-4 Dec 1951, Allen Henry 17 Aug 1938-9 Jan 1939, Velma LeeAnn 20 Dec 1939-Living (Harold Arden Oakland 15 Apr 1937-18 May 1991), David Jerome 16 Nov 1940-30 Oct 2003 (Teresa Jo Melby Olson 30 Nov 1951-Living) and Allen Alfred 20 Aug 1943-12 Jun 2023 (Carol Jacobson).
Annie passed away 6 Apr 1981 at the age of 69 years at Moorhead, Clay, MN. Funeral services for her were held at the Bethania Lutheran Church, 9 Apr 1981. Pastor Arthur Grimstad officiated at the services.
