Betty Beshea Eason, 73, of Springhill, Louisiana (Shiloh Community) died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Grace Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born November 4, 1935 in Shiloh Community, Louisiana to the late Charlie and Bertie (Stiles) Beshea.
Betty was a meat wrapper for Safeway for 30 years and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She adored her grandchildren and was a "sweet loving, unselfish person."
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Matt Chamblee; great grandson, Cade Kirkland; sister, Evelyn Martin; brother, Billy Beshea; and brother-in-law, Billy Keeling.
Survivors are her daughters, Sheila Ann Rhodes of Springhill, Louisiana; Mary Nell Combs of Minden, Louisiana; sons, Joe Eason and wife Susie of Springhill, Louisiana, Charles Eason and wife Maria of Shiloh Community, Louisiana; sisters, Martha Key and husband Tandy of Farmerville, Louisiana, Melba Keeling of Shreveport, Louisiana, Rita Velasquez and husband Gilbert of Sterlington, Louisiana; brother, Cleave Beshea and wife Beth of Shiloh Community, Louisiana; grandchildren, Natasha Kirkland, Jeanna Rhodes, Alston Eason, Josh Eason, and Taryn Eason; great grandchildren, Raliegh Chamblee, Benton Kirkland and Krisslynn Hanson Chamblee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Chris Beshea officiating and assisted by Bro. Everett Grice. Burial will follow at the Springhill City Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Springhill. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Alston Eason, Josh Eason, Cleave Beshea, Jr., Ricky Morris, Terry Morris, Scott Key, and Greg Sanders.
