Born on September 24, 1933, in York, he was the son of the late Earl W. and Freda (Sprenkle) Trone.
Mr. Trone retired from American Chain Cable Company as a machine operator with 30 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael E. Trone, Mark S. Trone, Lisa Trone Inners and David A. Trone, all of York; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Trone.
Burial will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery with military rites by the York County Veterans Guard.
