Juanita J. Boggs, 86, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, from complications due to kidney failure. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 5550 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth. Interment: 3:30 p.m. Friday in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 W. Harrison Road, Longview. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth. She was born April 25, 1925, in Crowley, La., to Richard and Annie Wilkins and was the youngest of six children. She graduated from Crowley High in 1940 and married James "Scotty" Boggs of Crowley, La., on Jan. 24, 1946. She was a wife and mother for most of her life, but in 1968 started Lillies and Lace Bridal. It began in her converted garage and grew to being one of the first businesses to open on the then newly opened Loop 281. Juanita lived in Longview from 1962 until 2002, when she moved to Fort Worth after the death of her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Scotty Boggs, and her son-in-law, Ian Jardine. Survivors: Daughters, Susan Jardine of Hurst and Anne Bryant of Bartonville; son-in-law, Tim Bryant; grandsons, James Jardine and Colin Jardine of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews in the south Louisiana area.
