Harry Lee Brown, 72, of Lynchburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at the Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 14, 1934, to the late Geter Hicks and Miss Robbie Miller. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lovdy Jones Brown; and a devoted daughter, Patricia Lee Brown.
He is survived by two daughters, Betty Younger and Michelle Brown, both of Lynchburg; a devoted godson, Mark Read of Lynchburg; five brothers, Ray Brown of Indianapolis, Ind., Wayne and Silas Miller of Evington, Henry Miller of Baltimore, Md., and Odell Miller of Las Vegas; two sisters, Mandy Rose and Maxine Miller of Evington; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at Community Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Jones officiating. Internment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Community Funeral Home and at other times at the residence, 93 Federal Street.
