Isobel "Izzy" Moser,of Midland,formerly of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Sewickley Valley Hospital. She was born May 12, 1924, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late David & Ellen Downey Barnett.
She was married to Allen Clair Moser, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Moser was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church. She was a graduate of SS.C.D. School,
a 4-H leader and an avid crafter who loved quilting,
sewing and crocheting afghans, which she always gave away.
She worked many years at the voting polls and was a member of the Groundhog Campers.
She had been to almost every state in the United States.
Surviving relatives include a
daughter,Deborah Sulkowski of Midland;
and two grandsons:
Christopher Sulkowski and Evan Sulkowski,both of Virginia Beach, Va.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in
death by two brothers:
David Barnett and Jim Barnett;
and two sisters:
Barbara Petkus and Ellen Schierberl.
Friends will be received at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home with the Rev. Johnny Pennington officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
