FRANCIS W. LASAK, when he was 13 years old, walked from Prague to Berlin, where he learned the fur business. In 1819 he came to this country without a cent in his pocket. Recently he died at Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., aged 90, leaving an estate of $6,000,000.
