Mr. Andrew Jackson Bell, son of the late James & Bettie Perkins Bell, was born November 14, 1879 in Green Co. and died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, February 19 [1968] at his home in Allendale. He was 87 years old. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Allendale Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Miss Margaret Alice Seenie [Ratliff], who preceded him in death in 1950. To this union were born 5 sons and 2 daughters. Surviving are: Thomas Bell, Newberlang, IL; Emmitt & Ernest Bell, both of Louisville and Mrs. Virgie Skaggs, Campbellsville. A daughter, Mrs. Betty Slaton preceded her father in death. He united in marriage to Mrs. Nancy Susan Warren in March 1954, who survives. Mr. Bell is also survived by: 1 brother, John L. Bell Allendale, 17 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 22 at the Allendale Baptist Church with burial in the Bell Cemetery. Revs. W.L. Loyall and Clarence Walters officiated. Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral. Pallbearers were: Arvin Ford, David Dobson, David Edmonds, Eugene & Garnett Wesley Bell and Otis Skaggs.
