Born on May 10, 1922 in Painesville, Ohio, Sarah Jane was the daughter of Bernice (Kellogg) and Perry George Holstead.
She married Victor Donald Johnson on August 14, 1950. God gave them three children: Bruce, Vickie Jean, and Larry.
Together with her husband, Sarah was a member of Perry Christian Church and, later in life, Perry Senior Citizens.
She was a licensed practical nurse at Painesville and N.E.O., retiring in 1984.
She was a former member of the Painesville Women's Chorus, and a volunteer for the Hope Chest, Meals on Wheels, and The Perry Center.
Sarah was survived by her husband, Victor; sons Bruce D. (Debra) Johnson of Tucson, Arizona, and Larry K. Johnson of Liberty Hill, Texas; daughter, Vickie Jean (Terry) Wakelee of Perry; grandchildren Steve, Mathew, Jessica, and Alison; great-grandchildren Hannah and Luke; and a sister, Erma MacIntyre of Tampa, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Ella Beckwith; and sister, Marguerite Clark.
Burial was in Perry Township Cemetery.
