Mr. Acey was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Irene A Greene of Mathews and Mrs. Emma A Bowman of Richmond; and a brother, Elmer Acey, Sr. of Norfolk.
A funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Foster Faulkner Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Rudy Smith, pastor of Central United Methodist Church. Burial was in Mathews Chapel Cemetery, Cobbs Creek.
Pallbearers were Bobby Atherton, Elton M Hudgins, Elbert Owens Jr, Steve Hudgins, Wallace Fletcher, Paul Owens, Linwood Cray and Edward Earl Hudgins.
