Miss Susan Blair, age 17, was a daughter of Mrs. Susan Blair. Mother and daughter were murdered in the massacre at the Bibighar, where some 73 women and 124 teenagers and children were systematically annihilated on the evening of July 15. On the 16th, the bodies of the dead were dismembered and thrown down a well - now sealed and known as the "Memorial Well". Memorial plaques to most of the victims can be found in All Souls Memorial Church, about 1.4 miles SE of the burial site.
