Donald Lee Axton, resident of Afton, OK., passed away November the 2nd, 2011 at Craig General Hospital in Vinita, OK. He was 79 years old. He was born November the 1st, 1932 in Wray, CO., to Alfred and Blanche (Huffman) Axton. He was a retired journeyman carpenter working for a local union and had served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He married France Nadine Rice in 1986. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November the 8th, 2011 at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Afton, with Rev Stan Miller officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Cox, Jeffery Cox, Andrew Bowman, Michael Hicks, Steven Kelley, and Cody Landrum. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, November the 7th, 2011 at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Afton. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., following the service at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Services are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home, Afton, OK.
