Mrs. George, 93, of Graniteville, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Trinity Hospital, Augusta, GA.
A daughter of the late Samuel Young and Rena Craig Young, she was a life long resident of Aiken County.
Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, but she did work at the Augusta Arsenal at the end of WW II. She also had assisted her husband, John Gary George in his business, J. G George Plumbing & Heating.
She was a member of Talatha Baptist Church, Aiken and enjoyed spending time with her family and scrap booking.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Gladys George and two brothers, Holbrook Young and Melvin Young.
She is survived by her son, Rev. John (Ruth) George, Graniteville; two grandsons, Steve (Tori) George and David (Cecelia) George and seven, great grandchildren, Kelsey, Carson, Sadler, John Michael, Austin, Caleb and Zeke.
